It makes sense for a method actor to go the distance in terms of getting into character, however, Lady Gaga is going off the deep end in embracing her British fetish.

Lady Gaga wants to be her Majesty Gaga. She is obsessed with the Queen of England after meeting her at a Royal Variety Show back in December. For her upcoming Monster Ball tour in the U.K., Lady Gaga has not only been dressing up in regal get-ups, but watching videotapes of the queen to perfect her British accent. A source tells U.K.’s Sun: “She’s been copying the way the Queen speaks from online content. She loves all things British, especially the Queen. “She wants to be able to do a really good accent for when she’s over here on tour later this month. “If she gets dressed up in regal attire, she feels like it helps her accent.” |
Now in terms of getting the right opinion on her accent, Lady Gaga tries it out on Sir Elton John. Apparently, she loves to chew his ear off about all things British. (Let’s hope she’s a Mr. Bean and Monty Python fan).
The source continues: “GaGa is trying it (the accent) out on every available opportunity.
“One thing she loves doing is prank-calling her friends to see if they can guess who it is.”
The good news: at least those close to her are admitting that it’s an intentional move on Lady Gaga’s part. When Madonna donned a faux British accent a while ago, the world just thought she was nuts. No word yet if Lady Gaga is living off a diet of fish and chips.
